Referring to STR 101, a classic from the CBS Laboratories series!
This iconic title helped basic users properly set up their turntables. It was released in the 1970s, when microgroove and stereophony were already firmly established in the market. Many users needed guidance and tools to ensure they knew how to use these groundbreaking technological advancements.
Today, when vinyl has come back into wide use and many users are buying equipment or dusting it off after many years of keeping it in storage, support is needed to start using the turntable properly.
A lot has happened since then, and it’s worth keeping this release up to date! Our album was recorded using the Half Speed Mastering technique, used in the world’s best productions. This is the first such production in Poland.
They took part in its development and creation.

Basic questions
What turntable is it suitable for?
Any turntable that uses 33 1/3 and 45 rpm to play records and uses the RIAA equalization curve. This is the most common solution, having been in use practically since the 1960s. If you’re wondering what type of device you have, it’s almost certainly this one.
Is it worth using?
Absolutely. The disc allows you to test the device’s operation in simple steps. This can be especially valuable when returning to or beginning your adventure with this music information medium. The disc’s inner cover includes a detailed description of the steps to follow.
The CD is also a great way to test your system before listening. Following these key steps will allow you to ensure everything is working properly in just 5-15 minutes.
What level of knowledge do I need?
We wanted to ensure that even people with basic knowledge could perform the activities. The simplest tasks require only observing the mechanical reactions of the arm or simply listening to the sound from the speakers without any additional equipment.
For advanced users, there are extensive possibilities for taking measurements and making precise assessments.
